Remember when evolution was proven by the Piltdown Man. That proof lasted for forty years, fooled all the expert evolutionists and was used along with so-called Nebraska Man as incontravertable evidence for evolution in the Scopes Trial (to justify the teaching of evolution in American schools). No one, not even creationists, dared to question such so-called scientific evidence verified by all the experts. Then guess what? It was discovered that Piltdown Man was just a crudely executed fake, made from the jaw of an orang utang with the teeth stained and filed down, Nebraska Man turned out to be a single tooth of a peccary (a type of pig). So much for that proof of evolution. How wrong can you be? If it had not been for wishful thinking, they would have examined the fossil much more carefully, before making extravagant claims, and they would easily have discovered such an obvious fake.(by the way, we are still waiting for an apology from evolutionists for fooling the world with fake proof for over 40 years)
But even after that shameful debacle, evolutionists still haven't given up making extravagant claims that evolution has been proven. You can see examples among the present answers to your question. Proof for evolution comes and goes, as do the so-called ape-men. The proof for evolution is as ephemeral as the weather forecast.
My advice is take every claim of proof for evolution with a very large pinch of salt. Of course, if you want to give them the benefit of the doubt, you should at least wait for forty years or more in order to allow them time to discover whether their 'experts' had made another mistake.
So Creationists need not worry, the track record of proof for evolution is rapidly becoming a joke. In fact, it now seems evolutionists have resorted to bravado. They appear to think that if you state something boldly and confidently enough, add the words scientific, evidence and proof, then it becomes accepted fact. Unfortunately for them, we now have many brilliant scientists who have seen through this tactic, and now carefully examine all their extravagant claims. They are a thorn in the side of those who would pull the wool over our eyes, and that is why evolutionists are angry, but they are a blessing for all those of us who value science as an objective search for truth.

Personally, since many Creationists that I know believe that evolution happened after a point, I dont' think it would matter. Creationists believe that a Supreme Being (God or whatever) created the heavens and the earth and the inhabitants. When asked where we come from, Evolutinoists say that's the Theory of Origion, and not part of the Evolution Theory.
Therefore, why can't both be true? God/Supreme Being made the world and evolution happened after living things were created? As stated, I know many creationists (christian and pagan) who support this theory. I can't find a single evolutionist who is willing to even think about it.
Thus saying, if Evolution was proven right, no biggie. If Creationism was proven right, I see many "evolutionists" becoming upset and denying everything.

{this debunks the false accusation/myth that the Bible teaches or Christians believed the earth was/is flat;http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aig/aig-c034.html}
I as a Christian have read the back of the book and I already know how the story ends so that is not possible for my God to lie. Jesus is coming back and I don't need proof because the truth speaks for itself and the spirit has bore witness of the truth. I'm not even concerned it could ever be any other way and am so looking forward to heaven when we will finally understand all the mysteries of God's universe and maybe that's what we will spend eternity doing is learning all the intricate details and marvels and exploring the galaxies and being in the presence of God forever just basking in the love and light of Jesus who is the light in that city. In light of eternity, the one who disbelieves God is the creator and discredits Him is the one who loses, and ultimately so if they do not repent as they will taste of the second death and miss out on seeing things clearly as we Christians will see Jesus face to face and no longer through a glass darkly!

Hi - I'm Christian, and I have to tell you that both are a trip.
The creationists are well-meaning, but lack Bible knowledge.
The Bible doesn't say the earth is 6000 yrs old, in fact it says its billions of years old, and even that there was an entire earth age before this one. As far as the evolution goes, it doesn't matter whether species evolved or what, God is the designer, planner and Creator of it. Please note that there is absolutely no controversy between true science and Gods Word. NONE.
So, I think both are already wrong. That and five bucks will get ya a coffee just about anywhere.

Well, it will either be the end of Christianity or a holy war to find out which religion's god made the world. Either way, evolution is still right. If it comes out in the end that we didnt sharea common ancestor with apes then it doesnt mean that animals dont evolve. It wouldnt de-bunk evolution altogether. Evolution is fact. Human evolution is theory. That is a large misconception. Scientists know animals' appearances change over time. Its just the truth. Even humans are much taller now than 100+ years ago. Either way, evolution can still help everyone (creationists and darwinists alike) understand the future of our earth.

Hmm if creationism is proved true, there will be alot of atheists in church. If evolution is proved true (not that there isn't a nearly overwhelming body of evidence for it now), then creationists will come up with another explaination of the creation story, and not much will change.

I guess I would be in good shape. I believe in the union of creation and evolution. I know, I know..."How can that be???" Well if you were an alpowerful entity and you were creating something, would you just say....bam there is a human...or would you work with it and mold it over time? AH...interesting isnt it? I believe we are not done yet. We will continue to change til the end of modern time. So, knowing I have opened up flood gates on each side to criticise me....go for it...hit me up...lets talk about it...

Well, one or the other will never be proved, so I really don't want to waste my time worrying about it. But, if evolution were proved true, it still doesn't mean there isn't a God. So either way, I'm happy.

It is impossible for either to be "proven" to the point of being worthy of the title "absolute truth."
as far as proving things within realistic terms evolution is very very far ahead. The "losing" side seems to be lashing out with militant denial.
