First of all, the piercing is new, so discharge (aka lymph) is normal and usually is present for 1-3 weeks.

This discharge is generally clear or white and dries to a yellowish color, but any signs of bleeding, green pus or pain should be a flag for a serious problem If the latter symptoms are the case, you are most likely forming an infection and should speak with your piercer and then with a doctor to get antibiotics.

You shouldn't pick at the crust or pull it off. To remove it, soak the area and use a clean wet q-tip to wipe it away. Wash the outside area with Dial and rinse well. Then use a non alcohol and saccharin free mouthwash such as Biotene. Other mouthwashes are irritants and can slow healing and irritate the piercing and surrounding areas. You can use a q-tip with peroxide to wipe the inside, it will help cut down on some bacteria which is causing the puss.

If you have serious concerns whether or not something is right, you really should visit your piercer and have them look at it. Its best to see the problem rather then guess over the internet.

Well if u said u did it on the 20th... that means u didn't heal yet. The mucus is the damaged tissue from when you pierced it. That's natural. The crusting is your body reaction to get the piercign to heal.. also normal.
If the discharge is dis-coloured or smells absolutely foul then u might have a prob.
Let it heal and go back in 2weeks and see what the person says. in the mean whiel... just continue doing what the piercer told u to do, cleaning and healing process etc

I have my lip pierced and it did that as well. Its a part of the healing process. I would take a swab and clean the area inside of your mouth thoroughly with peroxide. make sure you clean the jewelrey as well. Try not to play with it much for a while, let it heal. Clean the out side of your mouth with bactine.

If it doesn't go away in a few more days, and you are still worried, I would recommend going back to the piercer and have them look at it.

I've had mine done for a while now, but my boyfriend just got his done in November and his did that for a while as well. You should be fine.
