My doctor is checking my blood for it because I've had a miserable stomach ache for the past week. I was just curious what symptoms someone else has had with it and what the antibiotic treatments were like. I have a persistant stomach ache, diarreah, gas and have just been miserable and uncomfortable. My X-rays came back clean but my urine showed I'm dehydrated and my blood showed I'm fighting and infection, but I'm still waiting for results on the H. Pylori.

I've never had it, but I know helicobacter pylori is the bacterium that causes peptic ulcers, gastritis, and duodenitis, all gastrointestinal afflictions. Your stomach ache could be peptic ulcer. They treat it with a round of antibiotics for the bacteria but depending on which part of your digestive system is infected, you will be issued another drug as needed. For instance, if its an ulcer you would be given a drug that inhibits the production of protons which makes the fluid in your stomach acidic, and so on.

Until you get your results back, you won't know which part of your system is affected, but H. pylori is serious and painful. Therefore, I do hope you get well soon.

I've never had it, but the person I work for treats it all the time. I know some of the symptoms are stomach ache, cramps, and diarrhea. They usually give you Nexium, Biaxin, and Amoxicillin to treat it. There's a different treatment plan if you are allergic to Penicillin. So, it's a 14 day treatment and then you'll be fine afterwards. Good luck!
