seriously, it was painful to watch, it was scary, I rented that and Saw 3 last night and was more chilled and freaked out by Jesus Camp than Saw 3.

No - it's not going on with Christians. There are millions of different Christian churches and they all worship a little differently. Catholics, Lutheran, Protestant, nondenominational and most Evangelical churches do not worship this way. Some Pentecostal Church's worship in ways similar to this movie - but even they are all different. Some Pentecostal churches tend to focus on sin and shaming people where most other Christian churches (including most Evangelical) focus on love and forgiveness.

The movie implies that this is how all Evangelical churches are and it's not even close. Even all Pentecostal churches would not use some of the language or techniques that this minister does.

Jesus Camp should be illegal. As should home schooling your child so that you can avoid your child learning real science.

It bothers me that christian fundies were in charge of where Jesus camp goes, and it made it to theater, just not in all theaters.

Think I've heard of this, scary priests having young kids pledge their lives to god, it featured on the news late last year. an Americian Preacher saying that they should teach children to die for their religion,

EVERYONE SCARED YET,

I grew up in Wyoming. My sisters are raising their kids pretty much like that. One neice is a "child evangelist." Yup, she concentrates her "ministry" on scaring the shite out of kids.

I don't go to many family reunions :(
