From personal experience that is good. I ran a 14 when I was 12 and since then I have played football for my high school and went through a full season of indoor track. Let me tell you now I can hit high 11s and i atribute it all to hard work. You may have a 13 second 100 meter right now but if you don't run and work at it thats is as good as you'll get. So get involved in track if you haven't already and work hard and that time will drop even more. As far as how fast a girl should run her 100 meter I dont think there is a time a girl should run. It is going to be different for every person and every type of runner. But if for example you wanted to be a sprinter you would want to run in a range of low 16 - low 17. If you can run it faster than that great but that time is enough for a coach to work with enough so that by the time senior year hits in highschool you could be a competitive sprinter. If you are middle distance or long distance runner #1 you probably won't run a 100 meter but if you did don't expect to be as fast as a sprinter. But there exceptions to that like one kid on my team. He runs 600 meter races and up but he can run as fast as some of the sprinters on our team. If you want to run faster join your schools track team and see how it goes. GOOD LUCK!!!

Well what is the time your running now? Reading these answers people seem to forget that you really can't teach speed. If your running in the low 11's sure you might be able to drop a tenth or two, but that is a huge amount of time in such a short race. Believe it or not it is easier to run a 12.5 and drop it to a 12 then it is to run a 11.2 and drop it to an 11. Running sub 11's is a great goal, but don't expect to do it if your running in the mid to high 11's.
But to answer your question you need to work on speed and strength. Plyo's and short explosive sprints. Former WR holder Maurice Green used to do nothing over 40 meters during the season. Have to build fast twitch explosive muscle.

A world class athelete will run that in about 10 seconds. It takes a pretty gifted athelet to come as close as 11 seconds. If you are not a gifted athelete, your chances are not good.
You gave no clue about age, but if you are in school at some level, find your track coach, and talk to him about it. He can probably assess your abilities better than we can, since we have no information.

age experience and muscle fiber information is require to make a real guess. But yes...11 seconds is doable. Train hard on the track and in the weight room. Sprinting is a anaerobic...does not require oxygen...so strength training in the gym is as important as track training. Train your muscles for a longer distance, like 200 meters on occasion, and do plenty of hill work, up and down, to build strenght and teach your muscles to work harder. It will take time, but you can achieve it.

you can only teach so much. raw speed is what matters but its possible although the time for which your aiming is very tough a pro coach may be needed depending on how far of the 11 secs u r

unless you run at 1.67 meters per second or faster than that, you wont make it in time. do the math yourself: speed=distance divided by time
X=100/60 X=1.67
