try some dating sites, set a criteria for what you are looking for and what you aren't, and try not to judge on the outside of a person's appearance to much instead look at the characteristics of their personality and what they are looking for out of a relationship and base all that together with what you want out of a potential date and relationship and just be yourself and take things at your own pace....

I am a single mother of three 9 year olds. I have been single for 3 years. I have met a few men, but I am too choosy. I must say that You will find someone special..or rather he will find you...my aunt is 66 and she has just found the love of her life...after being single for four years. Don't give up hope...He/she is out there they are just having trouble finding you....Try going out with some friends or joining a class dont concentrate on the finding of someone else that is what drives you crazy. Consentrate on self improvement and when the time is right it will hit ya like a ton of bricks...Good Luck.

Yes Linda, you will meet someone special and probably when you least expect it. Consider 45 as your prime years! Take in applications and you decide what you want - not what they need - you've got a life a head of you honey and lots to choose from - believe me!! Getting rid of a bad relationship makes you appreciate a good relationship all the more. We're entitled to be picky!! Good Luck!!

there is someone out there for everyone. no matter what type of person you are there is a match. Whether you're shy, loud, nervous, obnoxious, optomistic, pesimistic, romantic, or whatever there is someone with nearly the same traits as you. The key is to smile and just know that someone will come along. You maybe looking for someone now but when you least suspect it you'll find your soulmate

You will meet someone! You just have to relax, get some confidence in yourself...whether it's joining a class to make new friends, new hair style and clothes to make you feel good. Gather some friends and make a girlie night of it. Flirt with other men and love to attention. This should boost your confidence...men like to see that, and once you have it...you're sure to meet someone who's worth your attention. There's also the possibility of speed dating in your local area...try it! It can be fun and get you used to been a 'dating' situation again.

People find love at all ages, and I don't think you're an exception. Perhaps you could try online dating services. They're not a sure-fire way of meeting Mr. Right, but they can't hurt. Also, it's not only dorks who use them, so you could probably find an attractive guy on there. Best of luck to you!:)

I'm 50 and I've always wanted a daughter (only got a son) and it's nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks this way. There are how many thousands of guys out there you just have to be a little more out going. I have a business to run and I can't be out going.

You could email me, I wouldn't mind talking.

Im sure you will find someone special...my mom is about ur age went through a nasty divorce from my father and she feels the same way you do...but her friends who are around the same age as well have found love again...so just keep your chin up...
I would suggest though not going out and seeking it...if its meant to happen it will be unexpectedly...
Good luck...and I hope everything works out for you :)

Trust your instincts and don't try to find the perfect person; they don't exist. If you like someone give them a chance. At our age (I'm also 45) we know in about three weeks to a month if it is going to work or not.
