I pick sweet pea.

He did something that a lot of slick boxers don't do He would savagely attack the body. Take a look at his fight with Chavez I recall a few four punch combos to Julio's body.

This would definitely slow PBP down.

Few fighters amaze me. Flloyd comes real close. But Pernell did. Guys like Tyson, Gatti, Ali, Robinson etc. have something that simple makes you say "WOW!!!" Pernell was in that league. Even when he (rarely) DID get hit, he was like a piece of rubber. You could hit him, and do NO damage because he'd move with it. Pernell only REALLY lost to Trinidad. Yes, he came up short on decisions, but those really could have went either way. I go Whitaker by decision 8-4 rounds.

Good fight here! Mayweather is probably the stonger fighter but "Sweet Pea" Is really a clever and smart fighter able to pick his spot with pinpoint accuracy. I believe that Whitaker would frustrate Mayweather Jr landing combos and then moving out of trouble before Mayweather can do a lot of damage. Mayweather would make a fight out of it late in the fight but it wouldn't be enough as Whitaker wins the decision.

Pernell Whitaker wins this. He s a southpaw (which Floyd has trouble with) and he had a great jab along with being a very good body puncher and infighter. If there is any weakness to Floyd s defense, it s giving up those punches. Whitaker was also superior defensively.

In Vegas, Mayweather by decision. Anywhere else, where fights are judged on merit rather than protecting the cash cow: Whitaker. Sweet Pea could fight effectively against any style, which I found amazing. I don't think pretty boy could handle PW's leftyness nor his awkward style which combined to make him a hard fighter to prepare for.

You know we forget how great some fighters were in there prime it,s easy to say that Mayweather would win now just think if Tommy Hearns would have come along be for Sugar Ray Leonard a lot of people would have said that Tommy Hearns would have killed Leonard we know now that did not happen This would have been a great fight Mayweather is a great athlete but in 1996 I saw him at the Olympics he lost to a fighter that he should not have lost to. tale of the tape height same weight same speed same defense same heart same power same ring smarts same this fight is a draw rematch has been signedfor the Fall of next year
