Well, you could always try biting the cat back when it gets too rough, that's what its siblings would do. . . Actually in all seriousness do the same thing to the cat people would with a dog. If the cat gets too rough tell it No! firmly and push it away or give it a little bop on the head. We then try to get it interested in one of its toys so it will leave our hands alone. My uncle's cat has this same problem and we do that to the cat. If the cat continues to attack us we repeat the movements which usually does the trick on getting the cat's attention that what it's doing is not proper. If it continues we tell it No again and either remove the cat from the room or ourselves, ending the play time. Some people also use a squirt bottle on their cats while telling them No. This has met with mixed results from what I've seen. Some cats hate it, others remain unaffected by the water even when soaking wet.

With our 21-month old, we've learned that repetition and patience are key. Songs, of course, are good -- gets and keeps his interest. Simply repeating day after day, and multiple times during the day what we want to teach him pays off. We point to the body part on ourselves, saying the word several times; and then, repeat it pointing to him. He now knows and loves to point out such body parts as:
head
hair
eyes
nose
mouth
chin
cheek
arms
elbows
hand
fingers
and on down to toes.
It was a long time coming, but now all the relatives are stunned at how much he has learned ! Same thing with baby sign language. Long time coming; but patience and repetition have him close to 40 signs now -- and about 15-20 words. These days, he picks up a new sign in about 2 minutes. With words, same thing for some -- others take longer.
Cheers!

we did a body part a week. she now knows all her body parts and knows left and right! now we play "asia says" to keep re-enforcing the body parts learned. I made a chart of a body and for every new body part she learned she got a sticker! She loves the game! just make it a game and don't try to teach all the body parts at the same time. go with learning one and when your child knows that one move on to another one. he'll get the hang of it! we also did this with the alphabet, colors, and shapes and now she knows them all

You can teach him by pointing to his nose and saying theres your nose You could also take your baby in front of a mirror and point to their ear or mouth there and say the name of the body part you want to teach them. Hope this helps.

Well i always thought about it like this... they live with their eyes nose ears mouth everyday and their very nosey as to what everything is so instead of showing them for example ( how a cell phone opens and closes) show them what they are what makes them up to be who they are, show them mummys nose daddys eyes or even their favorite stuffed animals feet... soon or later actually babies are pretty smart and pick up on things alot faster then we do you'll be surprised your little one might already know alot of these things

Songs are great. Also, you could just have fun with it. Teach the child as you play. I taught my kids by poking and tickling those parts. Touch is a great way to learn. I would poke them in the nose and say "nose", let them poke me back. It becomes a fun game. Thats how they learned most of thier body parts. Some things you just have to wait till they ask you about. There are some things that you don't wat to poke and tickle.

Just keep pointing them out. When you brush his teeth or hair identify the body part. Pretty much everything you do with him it gives you an opportunity to identify a body part.make it into a game too

Like everyone else has said, The best thing to do, Is make a game of it, However you choose to do so, Whether it be singing a song, Maybe playing hide & seek? (Covering your nose, and saying Uh oh, Where is Mommies nose) then uncovering it, My son LOVES playing hide & seek with things. :]
Whatever your child seems to enjoy, Music, Games...Use it.
:]
Also helps if you let them touch your 'parts' as well. Say 'Nose' and touch his, Then let him touch yours. :]
