I'm considering taking a job in Guaynabo but my income will only be about $1600 per month. Could I even survive on that kind of income in PR??

Guaynabo is one of the, if not, the most expensive city in Puerto Rico. But the island is small and you can live somewhere else while you are working in Guaynabo. There are parts of San Juan that are inexpensive and San Juan is about 10 minutes from Guaynabo

Meme above is right....but be ready for the grid-locked traffic. Worse than LA twice over...adding the less than cautious drivers (for not saying troglodytes) you will be sharing the narrow roads with... Good luck!
