If a shitzhu hair is 1 inch long would it grow to touch the floor in a week, if he is sitting?

If the hair is only one inch long, it will take a long time to reach the floor! I cut my Shih Tzu's hair to 1 inch about 4 months ago and now it's about 2 1/2 inches long!

I doubt it will grow that fast.

Isn't this a dog though.
