Sorry, but even if you get rid of it with lint rollers, vacuums, etc. It will be a constant battle, especially if it is spot that your cat likes to lounge on. I think you may need to ditch the cat, perhaps it can become an outdoor pet. Think of all that animal dander on your child's clothes, bedding, and the health implications (breathing, respiratory)! Plus not to mention the box of poop, that comes with having a cat. It will also be a lot less work for you or whoever takes care of the cat and the home.
Sorry, I am just not a big fan of indoor pets, especially when you have babies/toddlers in the home. What about a nice fish!

Do you want to get the cat hair off your bedding or your child's chair? Anyway, if you have a cat in the house, it's gonna be hard to avoid getting cat hair off any place that the cat goes because I have a cat and there is cat hair everywhere. You can try combing the cat's hair every day to remove any loose hair and check in a pet store for anything against shedding. I still count it a blessing for my cat cuz even though there's hair all over my clothes, I think about her not being there and I'd rather the cat hair all over anyday.

Well you can try to upgrade the brand of cat food. When a cat is healthy, its fur won't shed as much. Great fact, I know. They also sell these lint rollers for in the mean time...Ducktape or packing tape works just as well. Just take a peice and dab it on the furniture

For whats washable put it in the dryer with a wet towel, the lint(and cat hair) will be collected by the lint trap. As for whats in teh house, just try what everyone else says a lint brush or the vaccum.

You can use a lint roller to get cat hair off of things or you can go to the pet store and they will have special things to get cat hair off of clothing and furniture.

Get one of those sticky lint rollers for clothes and roll that on the chair to get the cat hair off. If you can't find one, use tape.

I second the lint roller. Our cat thinks our bed is her enormous bed when we're not home so we use the roller every night before going to sleep.
