As the owner of a Lincoln Mark VIII and Cadillac El Derado I can give you my take on the 2 cars. The Lincoln to me wins the prize for styling, comfort, ride. The Cadillac wins the prize for handling ability, performance and gas mileage. Both cars are worthy competitors in the mid priced luxury market. I have not had any significant problems to date with either car, so I can not advise you of maintenance issues. My best advice is drive a few for yourself and make up your mind that way.

Cadilac has history, there have been song written about this brand since the 1950s. And they have perfected luxuary over the years.
Lincoln definately wins the "Modern" image between the two. So ask yourself do you feel like classic luxuary or modern luxuary, and with that you will have your answer.
Good luck!
Ps. Cadilac is also seen as an old generation luxuary car.

depends on what you are looking for. personally, i would go with cadillac,it classier, but lincolns tend to be a little cheaper.
