My mother-in-law passed away about four years ago. Like anyone else, my sister-in-law has a picture of her on the shelf. She and her husband occasionally will show the pic to their 2yr old daughter and say "Sydney, this is grandma Sybil". They do this so she'll know who she is since she died before Sydney was born. They'll also ask "Syndey, where's Grandma Sybil?", and she points to the front door or the stairs, not to the picture. Do you think she's seeing something we're not?

Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell if this child has special gifts. She is only two, do not lead her on, and do not discourage or disbelieve her either. Just see what unfolds, and if she does have the gift of communicating with the spirit world, support her.

I believe she is definitley!.....My niece is 10 and has been "seeing" spirits since the age of 6....She see's things at her house and mine....One thing that rattled me a bit is that she said she see's a man by my steps going to the upstairs...He is not wearing a shirt and has shorts on..."He looks like uncle Mark"..Which is my husband....You see..My husband had a baby brother that passed away at birth..is it possible that spirits can grow up on the other side?....I think that may sound a bit crazy?
Unless he just might have the same featues and that is what she means...Let me know what you think..

I think they do. My cousin's little girl use to "play" with a lady that she described in detail and would talk to like a real conversation. Their landlord heard her one when she stopped by and ask her a few questions and got a bit upset. When my cousin asked what was wrong she said her daughter had described her grandmother to a tee and the house had in fact been the grandmothers. She does some other odd things, but since I also believe in spirits to me it doesn't seem odd. It is all in how you percieve it.

Absolutely. When my Grandmother died, we didn't tell my daughter who was 3 at the time. We were going through pictures and she said to me, "Mommy, that's Grammy Betty. She died." I said yes she had, figuring she had just overheard us say something. But then she said, "But she's right over there." and she pointed up to the ceiling. I asked her what she was doing. She told me she was flying. She has come down and told us before that Grammy Betty is sitting in her chair in her bedroom. She isn't scared at all, she's just simply stating a fact. If she does have this gift, I hope she never loses it.

My 4 year old niece has the same thing.... she hears a man calling her name, and says he's sitting in the corner of her room. We assume it's her grandpa (who committed suicide a year before she was born). There are other things that happen that is a little unnerving.

My sister always acknowledges my niece, and never tells her she's lying or crazy... and never makes her feel like she needs to be afraid. She always encourages her to talk about it... or to draw a picture of what she saw.

Yes, I believe children have the ability to "see dead people". It's not whether or not your child has it. Everybody actually has it. We just grow up, and society and everything else makes us forget we have it. So, if your child says she sees grandma, she sees grandma. Like somebody else said, DO NOT DISCOURAGE HER! Let her talk to her grandma. Let her be little!
