Pretty much all recipes. They're the only kind of onion we keep in our house. Red onions go in everything that needs onions. We think the flavor is better than whites or yellows.

The humble cheese and onin sandwich always tastes better with red onion, because white onions repeat on you for about a month after eating them!!!

Lola has got it right, best with home made onion gravey. just can't beat it! especially if you leave the onions a bit crispy when you throw them in...mmmmm.
But saying that, caramelised onions with hot dogs are wonderful. Caramelise them by frying them in sugar. Heaven!

Red onions are better left raw. They tend to discolor when used in cooking.

Tomato/Avocado salad. Chop up tomatos, avocados and red onion and mix lightly with Italian dressing.
