There is a significant amount of non-Christians in the world - much more than there are Christians.

Do you believe that by not knowing Christ that all these people will be going to Hell when they die?

I don't believe any of that crap, I believe if you are a good person in your heart, you will be accepted IF there is even anything to accept you, as for the Bible and stuff like that, God can't bring down those who have 10,000 different religions that all spawned off of the original text thrown down on them, no one knows who is right, and as the ages go on, there will only be more beliefs and more confusion, life is life, if you are a piece of crap, then you get what's coming to you, if you are good, then you may be rewarded, no one knows for sure though

Hell no. Look, this is the deal. (and yes, I'm Christian) - If some church tells you that if you are not of their religion that you are going to hell - leave. they don't know the Bible from a bump on their asses. If someone tells you that If you are not Christian, that you will automatically go to hell - leave. they also don't know the Bible.
The Word of God is very clear. When Christ returns, it will bring in what is called the "Lords Day". The Lords Day is a 1000 year period of teaching and disipline. Both of which are needed badly.
During that time, you won't have to ask somebody if they know the truth - they will know it, because it will be right in front of them.
The great judgement does not occur until after this period.
God repeatedly throughout the Bible says how discontent He is with what is being taught by the churches in the end times. He knows that with what is being taught (or not being taught) that many people don't have a chance in hell to learn to truth here in the flesh. Its not that He's giving anybody a second chance - most haven't had a first chance. They are told ridiculous things by churches and then they are expected blindly believe them.
God isn't much happier with that then your local atheist. Nobody is going to get thrown into hell without having every possible opportunity not to be. Thats what Scripture says.
The short answer: No, of course not.

The word hell is translated from the Hebrew word Sheol, and the Greek word hades, both words mean "covered place" or the world of the dead, the common grave of mankind. everyone who dies goes there. Hell fire is a pagan teaching, and the survival of some part of the human life after death is also not an original christian teaching.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 says that the dead are conscious of nothing at all.

When you die you are dead, you don't burn in hell or go to heaven.
that is why Jehovah urges us to live correctly while we can (Ecclesiastes 9:10) because when we die we will be covered over, conscious of nothing.

If your child made a huge mistake, would you punish him by holding his hand over fire for any period of time? I hope not, that would be cruel and unfair. Jehovah God does not do such things either. He is a God of love, and the teaching of hellfire displeases him. Jeremiah 7:31 tells us that doing such a thing never came up in God's heart. If that did not come into his heart to do, why would he do it on a larger scale?

These teachings dishonor God, and make many people fear and hate him, which is Satan's ultimate goal.

Yes, I do believe they will be going to Hell. However, I believe in a loving God that will make sure they get a chance to hear the about Him before they die so they will have a chance to turn their lives around. There is hope like the thief on the cross had a last chance to repent. Most, even knowing, refuse to turn to Jesus, even talking about Him and how much they don't believe for years. And I've heard of missionaries that have gone to places that never had the gospel preached, yet somehow they knew about God.

Most of the world's population is already living in hell. Everywhere you see a miserable person, you see hell on earth. When they die, they will not likely change their ways, and therefore should be expected to continue suffering in the hells which they created while living on earth by ignoring Christ's commandment to forgive others and to find inner peace through repentance.

a significant percentage of the world's population IS in hell. hell on earth is a very real thing, and some fanatical christians feel all self righteous telling that those people will have it even worse when they leave this world.

By not knowing Christ do you mean not registering him as a man of God (prophet) or by not being a Christian?

I'd like to think all good people on earth who never spread evil whilst here would get a patch in heaven.

Someone recently asked why so far this morning there have been at least 10 questions about Hell, and someone else answered that it's evangelical Christians that keep talking about hell. I think, however, that most questions about hell belong to non-Christians.
I prefer to let God worry about who goes to Hell. I worry about doing my bit to help people avoid going to Hell.

Yes, all people who reject the salvation that only Jesus can bring will go to hell. Those who have never heard of Jesus can go to heaven if they lived in accordance with God's laws which are the natural laws we all should follow whether we know who Jesus is or not.

We can only pray for their conversion of Heart and that the mercy of God will draw them to Himself. As pagan as the world has become I'm sure many are falling into Hell like snowflakes.
