Whatever you do, don't lose faith. It is going to be a bumpy journey, trust me, I know personally. Pray and ask the Lord to strengthen your faith. Faith is not just about believing in God, it's trusting him also that there is victory at the top of every mountain. His will be done. Meaning, things may not be as we would like them to be but understanding and knowing that his will for our lives is far better than our own. When it seems like our burden is more than we can handle it's because we are trying to control the situation. Let him do his work through you and you'll see how much peace and joy follows.

Dearest Marina,
I so understand your fears. I have had them too, still often do. I found that reciting The Lord's Prayer several times a day, remembering why I pray it and meditating helps. I do believe in God. When bad things happen and we despair it makes us question over again. We must remember God loves us. Our prayers are answered, we may not understand sometimes, but it is for God to know. Keep praying and most of all be thankful every day Think about your thankfulness and tell God of your thankfulness. And Pray
God does love us and wants us to be happy.
May God Bless you and give you strength.

Without knowing what tradition you follow it is hard to advise. Sit with whatever is imprtant to you, the bible, the quaran (sorry about the spelling) teachings of Buddha or a Guru and pray/meditate most importantly listen for what your deity is telling you. If you are still confused seek an elder/priest/pastor/imam(?)/teacher and talk to them ask them to pray/fast/meditate with you. Above all do not pannic this is a normal parth of the spiritual path it is a way of defining what we believe and coming out the other end stronger and more firm in out faith whatever that may be. Do not give up hope you will find/be given your answer. It may help to feel a connection to the earth? If its not too cold
Good Luck Hun let us know what happens

Hello Sweet Marina,
I to struggle with faith regularly, however; you are demonstrating faith just by reach out for help, that's also faith. Luke 9:23 makes it clear that faith is also sometimes hard, painful even:
The word says "if anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross DAILY and follow me", that means every day we have to pray and believe God at his word. Know one said believing God at his word of be easy, because it is not.
We must trust in the Lord with all they heart and lean not upon your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy path. Marina- Please get into the bible and read his word.
Hebrews 6:18 says: It is impossible for God to lie"
Philippians 3:12-14 Talks about pressing on
Habakkuk 2:4 the just shall live by faith.
2Tim 2:13 Lord you are faithful to your children because he is first faithful to himself.
God Bless you and I'll be praying for.
In Christ

God does exsist, either you believe or you don't! And just because one is a christian, doesn't mean things in life are not still going to happen. It 's how we deal with it. By having faith in God that he will see us through. Things happen! It is a test of faith. Anyone can say they're a christian. But it's by their fruit you can tell if they are a true christian. Read the bible everyday and pray everyday. That will help your relationship grow with the Lord. God Bless you!

read james chp 1vs 2-12 , God does not promise us a life of happiness and all these things most people want you to believe although their will be times of happiness. Jesus and the disciples spoke more about suffering and being in testings in life and that you can rely on God to get you through and he will give you peace in the storms of life but only if you trust and rely on him. If you have Christ you are already free, I would say turn to God and let him show you the way and it will be done with soon enough. If you just have God to use as your source of give me this and give me that and make everything perfect and happiness, you are in for big dissapointment, stay in prayer and reading your word and you will learn its about being content with where god has you and to be obedient with what he has currently given you and where he has placed you. God Bless,

question which inevitably comes up in a discussion of this nature is what is the origin of God? If God created matter/energy, and designed the systems that have propelled matter into its present arrangement, who or what accomplished that for God? Why is it any more reasonable to believe that God has always “been” than it is to say that matter has always “been”? As Carl Sagan has said, “If we say that God has always been, why not save a step and conclude that the universe has always been?” (Cosmos, p. 257).
From a purely scientific standpoint, it is easy to demonstrate that matter cannot be eternal in nature. The universe is expanding from what appears to be a beginning point in space/time, which appears to be a one time event. Hydrogen is the basic fuel of the cosmos, powering all stars and other energy sources in space. If the fuel of the universe has been used eternally, that fuel will eventually be depleted, but the evidence is that the cosmological gas gauge, while moving toward “empty,” is yet a long way from being there—a condition incompatible with an eternal universe. The second law of thermodynamics insists that the cosmos is moving toward a condition of disorder, sometimes referred to as “heat death.” Even in an oscillating universe, things ultimately run out of energy and “die.” All of these evidences, and several others we have not made reference to, show that matter cannot be eternal, as Dr. Sagan and his associates would like to believe. However, this does not mean that we automatically accept the hypothesis that God is the Creator. Why is it not equally invalid to suggest that God has always been?
The problem here is that many people have a mistaken concept of God. If we conceive of God as physical, anthropomorphic (like man) being, the question of God’s origin is valid. However, such a concept of God is alien to the Bible and to common sense. Consider the following descriptions of God from the Bible:
John 4: 24
God is a Spirit:...
Matthew 16:17
...for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that He should...;
Obviously, the descriptions and concepts of God given in these passages are that God is a spiritual entity. He exists outside of the three-dimensional, physical world in which we live.
The Bible further supports this concept of God in the following passages:
Jeremiah 23:23-24
Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? ...Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
2 Chronicles 2:6
But who is able to build a house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain Him?...
Acts 17:28
For in Him we live, and move, and have our being;...
Not only is God described as being outside space, but He is also described as being outside of time. Consider the following:
2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Psalm 90:4
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Psalm 102:27
But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
Acts 1:7
...It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His power.
If God is a being that is unlimited in time, and if He has access to every piece of time as if it were now, the question of who created God is an invalid question. The problem is like asking a student to draw a four-sided triangle. The terminology is self-contradictory.

Hi,
We just talked about faith last night in bible study. I'm assuming you already know that God is the Word. (St. John 1: 1)
1) Hear the Word of God
*When you read the Bible, read it aloud so you can hear it.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
(Romans 10:17)
2)Believe the Word of God (St. John 5:24)
Believe means to accept as truth
* accept God's Word
3)Know the Word of God
Know means to be acquainted with
* Once you start reading the Word daily, you will become
acquainted with God. When you know something, there's no
room for doubt. God wants us to know Him just like we know
our names. If your name is Sue, no one can convince you
that your name is Jane.
4)Trust the Word of God (Hebrews 10:35).
Trust means to have confidence
*When you trust God's Word, you have confidence in Him.
Don't be afraid to trust God.
Maybe you have faith but its dead. Faith without works is dead. (James 2:17) Faith is an action word. You have to put your faith in action. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6) When you starting reading the Word, then believing, knowing, and trusting it, your faith will become stronger than ever.

As if losing your faith in Christianity is the WORST possible thing that could ever happen to you.
It was the best thing that ever happened to me.
...and I can say that for a lot of people on this forum as well.
All I can tell you is that you need to determine if you really want to stay a Christian or not.
Do you stick with your faith, or do you take the route of doubt and critical thinking?
Nothing wrong with either path as long as you are happy.

We all go through rough patches honey I'm at one at the moment. I like to think that these patches make me closer to God because I've learnt to never give up and where there is hope there is good things to see.
As for God existing-you can't see oxygen but it exists-thats the way I think of God. Always around but you can only see their work not them.
Don't give up yet, pray and remember we're all with you!
