It is a mountain in Ireland, but other than that I think it's origin is Maulik. At least "Maulin" does not exist on this site, whereas Maulik does:

'Maulin' in Hindu context, is Vishnu, Sanskritic for 'Mauli': in Tamil 'Maal' or 'Thirumaal', is God! Chandramauli is a common name denoting God (Siva)! Maulik, derived therefrom, in Hindi, could be Master as in the commonly used form 'Maalik' ! (Remember the old Hindi hit, "Ye Maalik There Bande Hum...."!)
