Speak to him. Ask him if he has a set of jump leads as your car wont start. When you get him to your car, ask him if he fancies eggs for breakfast. That should do it.

Engineer a head-bumping or trolley crash to start a conversation...if u see him near the mags or dvds pick up the same one as him (what a coincidence!) - i know it sounds a bit stalkerish but he need never know it was contrived.
if that doesnt work, pick up a cucumber in the veg section!!!!
oh and read The Banquet by Carolyn Slaughter - that'll put u off guys in supermarkets!!!

Ah - meaningful looks across the frozen peas....How about asking him to lift something down from a high shelf for you, then engaging in a little light conversation - who knows where it may lead... Of course, if you're taller than him, this won't work!

I look for a wedding ring and check out what's in his basket first to see if there's a chance he was single. Then I'd tell myself to wise up and get on with my shopping !
