My hair is chemical free. When I style it the style only lasts about 6 hours on a good day unless I'm wearing braids, twists, an updo or an afro. I'd like to wear my wavy and curly styles longer so I need a setting creme or lotion to help. Anyone with natural hair or natural curly or natural kinky hair know of a good product I can use for this kind of style? I can get it STRAIGHT then wave it but you know...that style's flopped and frizzed before the end of the party! Help!

I have recently discovered (organic root stimulator) Anti-frizz Olive oil Glossing Polisher. So far so good and staying that way. It is a clear liquid in a transparent container, quite light and not greasy. Hope it works for you. An afro is not easy to keep tidy especially in cold weather. I hear you... I am really thinking of going bald!

Whatever you do DON'T listen to the girl who said cut it short! That will not help AT ALL...except make her look like a brillo pad and get picked on when she starts school! I have very curly hair, I'm not mixed but my hair is similar to that of someone who is...also my little cousin is mixed and she has hair like mine... this is what you do... not sure if it will help but try it out: 1) Keep it long.. because the longer it gets the heavier it gets, and that will reduce frizz and keep the curls nice. 2) Try a deep conditioner.. I know she is of Black Heritage but this may work well... Use a very deep conditioner and detangler, comb, not brush, in the tub...makes it much easier. 3) When finished try using a leave in conditioner on her hair or a conditoner mixed with water. spray or rub in hair all the way through. 4) Try using a product called noodle head they have product for curls... like gels and lotions. ALSO..try other curly hair gel products... but DO NOT CUT IT!

Try LottaBody Setting Lotion my curls for a few days without re-applying the setting lotion, but I also roll up my hair nightly.
