I have a small car.....Sentra....and my bf recently took it to install 800w amp and 10" speakers in the box. Sounds good, but it'll rattle when I turn it up. Kind of defeats the purpose....Thanks!! :)

Do I need bigger speakers to go with the amp?
Maybe it's too much for my little car and small speakers ;p

Dynamat...Dynamat...Dynamat...this will fix the rattling problem. it cost about $100 for the kit and if you have it professionally installed it can be anywhere from $50 to $100 for the labor. It will stop the vibration and make the bass cleaner and sound more powerfull. i have a 1999 altima and it works great. no rattles and the bass is louder with the trunk closed.

You're trying to defeat the laws of Physics.

I don't think you can keep the vibration away when you turn up an 800w amp 10" speakers but if someone installed it for you I would go back and tell them it is totally unsatisfactory!

The trunk rattles because the bolts or joints are loose are not as tight as possible... This is almost hard to get rid of rattling but i sugest you move the bass speakers around.

+1 for sound deadening materials. Dynamat is the most common...there are some cheaper options but I prefer Dynamat as well.

Tell your BF he needs to complete his job :)
