If you held a gun to someones head and told them to love you, would the love you received be the real thing. Hell seems cruel to you because you want to have your cake and eat it too. It's like being a murderer and expecting no punishment.

The bible does not teach a burning hell. Even the prior Pope admitted it a few years back. Hell is just the grave. If you die and God feels you don't deserve to be resurrected, you remain dead with no hope of living again. The end.
The choice is Life or Death, not Heaven or Hell. The bible says the "meek will inherit the earth and live forever upon it." Ps 37: 10 & 11.
"The dead are conscious of nothing" Ecc 9:5
"All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to which you are going." Ecc 9:10
"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,"
John 5:28

The Bible never says that people can choose heaven or choose hell. It says people can choose God or they can choose anything else. There are consequences to each one. The consequence of choosing God is that you have a purpose in life, you find somebody that loves you unconditionaly and you get to spend eternity in heaven with them. The consequence of choosing anything other than God is that you have no purpose, no hope, and will go to hell when you die. So it is quite simple. People do not choose hell, but rather, like you, they just don't choose God. And is it really so cruel to have a bad choice be available when a good choice is right there. Would it be so cruel if I offered you 10 million dollars or cutting off two of your fingers? Seems like it just makes the good option all that much better.

It is your choice because it's according to the way your living your life. If you rob a bank or some one or even another place, murder, rape or do any other sin and are not living right then your soul will be dammed to hell. The reason why he sends people there is because they lived wrong and they choose to rebel against him. You acutally think he wants to do it? No it hurts him because he created us all but he gave us all free wills to believe in what we choose and it is really up to you where you will spend enterity because it's how you will live your life. Hell isn't a place I want to be and that is why I am living right and doing my best to not sin but I'm not perfect and no one is that is why even christains sin but we don't mean to and we have to ask him for forgiveness. So in an answer to your question is he allows people to go to hell because they choose to rebel against him and choose to live not according to his ways but the ways of the world.

"SATAN HAS DECEIVED THE WHOLE WORLD"!! Do you know what that means? Satan IS the god of this world but he doesn't want anybody to know it. The power of Satan is real just as much as the power of God is real. People don't choose to go to hell. The God of this world (Satan) has veiled their eyes, blinded them to the truth. But God is not calling every human to their salvation at this time before the return of Jesus Christ. Only those who have ears and act on it (faith through understanding the word of God). God's elect (the resurrected saints and those alive who are born of the spirit and have endured in their faith to the end) in their glorified spirit being bodies will be in His Kingdom on earth for the Millennium reign as Kings, Priests and teachers to rule and preach the word of God to the rest of mankind (who's still alive) at that time after the Tribulation. Jesus's return to earth at that time of imminent annihilation of the world population is only because "for the sake of the elect" so Jesus can establish His government here on earth with that "elect" group. Everybody will have their chance to come to the Lord and be saved. God is a loving God. He doesn't want anybody to parish. Only the OVERCOMERS will have part in His Kingdom on earth then in Heaven, either in the first resurrection or the second (Great White Throne Judgment) Resurrection after the Millennium reign.

God does not want to have people go to Hell. He is giving them a chance at salvation through Jesus. But there are only so many things that God can do for a person. A person has to make that choice for himself.

I don't it's necessarily choosing hell.
Not choosing God is "choosing hell", although making that connection might not be obvious.
It's our choice and it might be cruel for us to have the opportunity to go to hell but it makes us free individuals.
God allows it because he lets us be free to make our own decisions

God wants all people to be saved- He does not want anyone to perish, but all to know to Him through Jesus- However, God is Holy and we are not, and the only way to receive salvation is through the shed blood of His Son Jesus. I am so thankful that He made a way, because on my own, I deserve hell- I chose life through Christ- I pray that you do too, before you will find out that this is the truth. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.

God gives us free will to choose what we want. Just like in other facets of our life there are consequences for everything that we do. There are good consequences and bad consequences. He is telling us what the right choice is, but He is also giving us the right to choose. He is also telling us, but be aware these are the consequences.

You can also choose Heaven.
The torture in Hell will come from the knowledge that you are not in Heaven.
