My kids got a copy of our wedding photo and got another recent picture of me & the wife.
They did some jiggery pokery with photo shop and produced an A4 sized landscape picture with the old us at one side and the new us at the other, This was mounted in a silver frame on a stand with a lovely poem engraved on it (cant repeat it, composed by my daughter and way too personal to share).
This had everything, a reminder of us as we used to be, us as we are, silver for the time spent together, and a personal testimonial, from the kids to us. All given with love.

I do not know your budget,if you are loaded, send them on a 2nd honeymoon, to an exoitic location like the carribeans or send them to India to visit TajMahal, the monument that was built for love. Well if you do not have so much money, book a dinner for them, and you can also join them and tell them how much you love them. Anyhow, my congragulations for your parents silver wedding anniversary.

What me and my four siblings did was we each gave them money to go towards a trip they can go together on or whatever they wanted to use it for. Or my cousins just did a 30th wedding anniversary for their parents at a restraunt called Biaggi's. They invited about 40-50 people and we all had dinner together and then they had brought in cake. Hope this helps.

Something silver - a silver picture frame with you and/or your family in it. A silver serving platter/bowl of some kind. Those should be easy to locate and if you want - have them engraved with something special.

Silver is the appropriate item (as indicated above). So a silver based gift.

how about making dinner reservations for two at a special restaurant? if money is a problem, then make a special dinner for two at home and when you have finished being the cook, go to your room or apt. when dinner is done, then you reappear to clear the table and do the dishes.

they will appreciate anything you do for them, recognizing their 25 years together and it shows also as a "thanks for having me".
