The truth is that mental disorders are often biological in nature and therefore are inherited. I think that often times too when people get married they sometimes tend to drift towards marrying a partner who also suffers from a mental disorder.
Looking at your question I am kinda wondering if you have something against people who suffer from mental illnesses...

I know a family in which at least 3 of the 5 members have some kind of mental illness.
And no, it's not necessarily large families.

My great grandfather was a paranoid sycophrantic and so was my grandmother and so is my sister. My uncle is in prison and has been for the past 20 years once actually streaked naked through a walmart. My father is an alcoholic was addicted to cocaine and used to beat my mother. My grandfather was a pervert. My mother died at forty four of sudden heart failure and though very sweet was extremely paranoid and I am on Zoloft for depression and anxiety

Yes seriously my ex wife and her family
mother in-law did in the fathere
brother in-law in federal prision for everything
ex spent time in mental hospital

my sister has been on prozac for six years, i took zoloft but off it i was diagnosed with major depression, my dad is def. mentally messed up but doesnt do anything, and my mom takes stuff for anxiety!!!!!!
