i beleive in parts of the bible moreso in the frist testament than the second testament but i think that it cant be the word of GOD because i guess it was Jesus' disciples who wrote it like years and years after his death and then the were like visions that came to his apostles but some of their visions are diiferent in each book one might say jesus drank vinegar the other wine so its hard to say cuz its so different i dont know thats what i think

combine John 1 and John 14.
in the beginning was the word....and the word became typeset and bound neatly in leather with nice gilt edges and with interesting maps etc.
The Bible makes no claim to be the word of God.There is a passage that claims all scripture is from God that needs some debate but most of the so called proofs are based on the bible being a (part) record of God's speech and actions in dealing with men and the fact that bits have clearly become true. That is not the same.
IMHO some people have rasied the bible to the point of idolism (and more to the point their intereptation of it).

asphyxia derailed- so with your comment that nobody is alive today... would also fit with the Civil War, Spanish/American War, the Crusades, the Inquisition, the medevil days etc... because nobody is living from that era to validate it as so, how closed minded you are! Did Columbus really sail the ocean blue? Where is the proof that he did? Is it really proof or just what someone wrote that happened?
The Bible does say it is the Word of God, why would we dispute what is written, after all the Bible is the number one HISTORY book that we can learn of the days from Adam through the life of Jesus.
In a hundred years, when you are dead and bury... would it be safe to say because nobody living now ... that knows you... would be living then and say yes they called him/her by the name his/her parents named him/her. Just because it is written on a birth certificate (in a family Bible or ancestry tree) they could say your name was not what your name really is. Now could they?

No, that's circular reasoning. For instance, I could claim that I am the world's greatest (name it), but it's just me making the claim. Where's my proof?
Now the Bible has many internal evidences to back up the claim it makes. And the testimony of millions of believers throughout these centuries.
In order to arrive at a fair conclusion, I suggest an in-depth study of the History of the Bible, a good starting place would be a good theological textbook, since there's always a section on the Bible, and the doctrine of Inspiration. Take care.

Yep, that's basically it. The Koran and I believe the Rigveda also claim to be the word of god.

No. That is completely incorrect. That is called a 'straw man' argument. Some texts on informal logic use that as an example of circular reasoning. So, some people assume that Christians actually use that argument.

YES!
But believing in it and LIVING by the Word of God is from
PURE FAITH. You need to KNOW that the Bible is full of God's promises and that He is FAITHFUL to Keep those promises.
He is SUCH a LOVING GOD!!
