If I could only rescue one person it would be my child. They have a long life left to live and my partner and I have lived a good live. My fiance would not forgive me if I was to save her and let the child drown. I would not forgive myself if I was to be selfish and save myself and let them parish. So it's a no brainer, my child would be the one to stay alive.

First I think I would try to save my wife and child. Then I'd try to save any other passengers I could. I'd be the last one in a life boat because I don't think I could live with the guilt if I survived because of another's death.

Child wife me....thats an easy answer you and your wife have been around longer, and what kind of person could come to shore and live with the fact that you saved you and your wife but let the kid die?

If only 1 it would have to be child.
Although not married I am sure the wife would say to save the child

In all honest I would attempt to save both. I figure HS swim team would have to pay off sooner or later

Child
Wife
self

In that order, for obvious reasons.

Child! because i don't have a wife! lol, I'm so kidding.

I will save my child first because if i saved my husband and let my child die? my husband is gonna KILL me for that! lol. It's true. he must be very mad at me.
Moreover, a child is surely more vulnerable than an adult so it should be the first priority.

My child first, because it is my greatest responsibility.

But I personally would save everyone on the sinking boat because I would never allow bad to happen to my family.

I'd throw something for my partner to hold on to, and save my child first. Or if either of them can swim, I'll save the one who couldn't.

I am a female, but would still have to say the child...the spouse and/or myself have had the opportunity to live their/our lives and the child has not. The child should be given the opporunity to make it.

well if possible,..I would tell my spouse to grab the child and then save them both..but if not...my spouse can swim, so I would save the child first.
