Excellent point.
Imagine that atheists suddenly announced that besides not believing in God, we also don't believe in cars. Suppose we starting saying
"There's no evidence that cars exist, and people who believe in cars are just plain gullible, believing it only because their parents tell them to believe in cars".
The believer who claims that the evidence for God is all around us and that it is foolish not to believe in God would have to treat the "there are no cars" claim exactly like the "there is no god" claim. I say they already know better than that. Even the most devout believer is well aware that denying the existence of gods is NOTHING like denying the existence of cars. If you're a believer you may be tempted to respond that they're not different, that you know that God exists as surely as you know that cars exist. You can go ahead and say that, but you know as well as I do that you're lying, and making a statement that is utterly ridiculous.
You may choose to continue to believe in god based on faith, but if you're honest about it, you know full well that your belief is something very different from your belief in things that are really true. There simply isn't any evidence for the existence of gods. Atheists may be wrong - maybe there will turn out to be a god after all - but we're not foolish, or in denial, or anything like that. If you believe and we don't, it's because you have chosen to believe in the absence of any evidence, not because our eyes are closed. Our eyes are wide open, and with them we see cars. That's why we believe in cars and not in gods.
There's the honest truth. Deal with it, everyone.

It is the most evident, just look around, everything you see He created for you and me. You can deny it and look for an answer somewhere else. Good Luck.
There is sufficient evidence for someone who has never heard of God to know there is a higher power.

Because God doesn't exist. If a god existed that wanted us to know he exists, then we would know. You've convinced me that you exist with a mere Yahoo Answers question, and you're just human. I'm sure a god could be much more convincing than that if he wanted to.l

Some people have been given the light to see with, and others are in darkness. Look around you, God is evident in EVERYTHING!!!

It is not so much the destination as it is the journey that is so important.
