It isn't a moral question. But the whole thing of valentine's day (originally thought up to sell more greeting cards) is ROMANCE. Electrical appliances are not romantic. Birthdays are a bit different - depending on the girl and the appliance, it might be a good gift.

Depends on if she's into that or not. Maybe write a romantic poem that could be funny with something about the appliance. Have some kind of meaning attatched to it. Some girls just like some guys like to just get stuff but I'd say most guys and girls like something that was made or bought that has a sentimental reason for it being given. I got my husband an i-pod for his b-day and had it engraved and he absolutely looooves music.

Hello, depends on the girl and what type of electrical appliance you want to get her. Most females prefer something else, but others may like electrical appliances.

What ever gift you give it will be from your heart and the female in your life will appreciate it, unless there's something else going on.

Just as you have most men who like sports of some kind, there are a few women who like sports as well. (Football fans, purchasing football paraphanelia, and really being vocal about whose team they are a fan of, never missing a sports game, obtaining "cable tv" just to make sure they never miss a game, the list goes on......but you get my drift.....right?

This is my opinion and advice and may not apply to everyone who reads it.
good luck
and I hope things work out for the better.

No it's not okay! That sounds stupid. Valentines Day is a sacred event. A day for the lovers, electrical appliances don't really scream "I care." If Cupid where to hear this, he'd shoot you for real.

Are you serious or is this just a dumb joke?
If you're serous then sure, if you want to have it broken over your head.
Sorry to sound cynical, but that's what most women will do.
If you give a woman a gift like that it, they think are a sexist pig.
If you want to buy a woman a great gift, take her shopping and let her choose. You will definitely get what she wants then.

I would say definitely no to Valentines day.

Her birthday might me alright. It really depends on the type of person she is. My boyfriend got me a deep fryer once. I really wanted one and I use it all the time so it was a great gift to me.

Gotta ask: do the girls in question really deserve any presents on their birthdays and/or Valentine's Day? Really, think about it, they're lucky we put up with their mouthing off to us on a day-by-day basis. Spend your money on yourself.

yeah, off course, if she wants something like an ipod, it would look cute, just make sure u don't get her like a playstation, and the she doesn't like it. It doesn't matter if it electrical appliances or its food, if its cloth or parfume as long as its something she might like or want, and it matches her. and it shows that u cared and tried to get her a nice gift.

It depends on the girl and the appliance.

For example, I found out my then girlfriend wanted a Kitchenaid stand mixer.

I bought her one.

She's my wife now, and she still brags about how good I am at picking out gifts. :)

If you know it's an appliance she wants, it's an appropriate gift.

If you tell her you'd like to marry her and make beautiful toast together* for the rest of your lives, sure. If it is a curling iron and you tell her that you are tired of her hair looking like rats slept in it overnight, no.

* "We could make beautiful music together" was a catch-phrase in fashion before you were born. It meant the man wanted to marry the woman.
