By hanging them on a "banana tree" which is basically a stand with a curved metal rod the same bend as a banana with a hook at the end so you hang your nanas like they would be if they were hanging from say, an apple tree, as bananas don't actually grow hanging down. Another tip is to not put them in the same bowl as the rest of your fruit as for some reason this also makes them turn brown quicker then if they were in a bowl by them selves. Don't refridgerate them either or they turn quick.

in some stores there are special "banana hangers". Theses allow the banana's to have air circulate around them, so they ripe evenly, lasting longer. You can also get them from mail order cataloges.

if you put bananas in the refrigerator they will turn slower, and keep them from becoming over ripe. when the banana starts to become more ripe than you like, put them in the freezer in the peeling. you can use them in cakes and on ice cream.

Buy them green, and buy only a small amount more often. And do not refrigerate! If they are too green put them in a paperbag overnight. But really buy less, more often! Have a good night hun!
