I have an apple cake recipe that I want to make into cupcakes. Do I need to adjust the recipe?

Thanks!

p.s. The batter for this cake is quite moist, if that affects your advice in anyway. :)

You should be able to use this recipe for cupcakes. The baking time would change a bit though- be sure to check for doneness with a toothpick inserted in the cupcake. Should come out clean. I would begin checking about 15 minutes before the instructions tell you to if you were making it as a cake.

Mmm...sounds delicious.

Remember that when you have cake, it's typically on a plate and you eat it with a utensil, such as a fork. Cupcakes are a tiny bit different, because you handle them with your hands even if they are in paper wrappers. You will have to decrease the time a bit, and be sure to cook them in the middle of the oven, instead of the top or the bottom. That way, they'll get evenly heated from all sides.

Also, if the batter is very moist, try adding an extra half cup of flower per 12 cupcakes. This won't affect the taste and they will be a bit easier to handle when people are eating one (or two, or three...).

Hope they're awesome! Let me know how they turn out - just pm me through Yahoo!. ; ) Bon appetite!

Don't do anything different just use a cupcake pan instead of a cake pan.. When you make normal cupcakes you don't have to adjust the recipe just use a different pan.. That's all.

You shouldn't have to adjust the recipe, but you should adjust the cooking time. Since cupcakes are smaller, they will cook faster.

That sounds absolutely yummy, I made cupcakes yesterday for my son to decorate. The only difference should be the cooking time. Have fun and enjoy.

No, the only thing that should change is the baking time.
