Stick to what works for you. If you had a preference for women with a certain hair color would your friends rib you about that? Probably not! So, just let them know that you're man enough to know exactly what you like and man enough to not care what others think about you or your choices. (Confidence is a VERY attractive attribute!)
I commend you on being mature enough to not only know what you like, but be willing to stand up for that and not bow to peer pressure. Rock on! :)

Exactly, it is your choice. Lots of men don't like cuddling up to a bunch of bones. Stick to your preferences.
