My BF is a real jerk but I love him. He always breaks up with me for every little thing. It's like he throws these temper tamtrums & then the next day or a few days later he starts to send me these text messages or leaves voicemails & fall right back into his trap. This time I said I'd do it differently. Now I've changed my number but now he calls me at work & I act like I have an attitude & hang up on him. My friends say that his next move will be to stop by my apartment & that will be the real test of how I can resist him. Is there any more advice on how I can play hard to get. I still love him & I'm not ready to let go but I know he'll only appreciate me if I give him a hard time and not give in so easy...so what should I do?

You're not making him squirm. He's making you squirm.
He breaks up with you and leaves. He comes back a few days later, and you act like a little puppy, all eager to have him back in your life. Until you two both grow up, you deserve each other.
But sooner or later, one of you two will realize that the other is being immature, and that person will move on. Maybe the shock and trauma will help the dumpee to mature, too. Maybe not.
Then again, maybe getting past your teen years will do that also.
Somehow, I bet I don't get a "best answer" rating for this one. I promise that I'll be crushed, honest!

You can really make him squirm by telling him that you are spending a time with yourself to decide if these temper tantrums and break ups are what you really want in your life. Tell him tat you love him but you do not love all the drama in your life and you need to be by yourself to figure that out. It will really make him squirm because he will be trying to figure out if he really blew it this time.

Start going out and doing things with your friends. Just don't be available and don't call or return his calls. In two weeks, he is squirming!

Try growing up. You are in an abusive relationship and it is 100% your fault for letting this guy treat you this way. Stop being a doormat and tell this guy to fu*k off permanently.

break off all lines of communication to the point where he just goes psycho and starts raping everyone in sight just to see you then let him back into your life.

no if u ever go back to him he know he will always win... the only way he will ever appreciate you is you never see him...that or out a condition like u have to go to therapy as this behaviour is nto normal,,,,
