methylprednisolone. its a glucocorticoid, an adrenocortical steroid. or basically an anti-inflammatory. its used alot for arthritis or brochitis, metabolism or for immune responses. it is usually dispensed as a pack of 28 tabs, 4mg each.

as dunc... suggested methylpred 4mg could mean methylprednisolone which is a corticosteroid and the 4mg just means that it is a dosage of four miligrams.

Never stop taking a medication without informing your physician. Studies done on medications are required to list every side effect that a participant had, whether it was directly caused by the medicine or not. Talk to the doctor and see if your concerns are enough to discontinue the medication or not. Sometimes the nurse is able to help, but I would prefer the doctor or a pharmacist.

Could be methylprednisone, which is not an antibiotic, it is a steriod. Generally it is used to suppress the immune system.
