1 kg equals about 2.2 pounds (weight measurement) in the USA.

So, 1kg apples equals about 2 pounds of apples which would cost between $4 and $5 dollars. Or that is about $8-$10 in your monitary measurement of pounds.

Man, I hope that makes sense.

1 litre of milk is like a quart here. That would be our $1 or your 2 pounds.

1 loaf of bread has about 25 slices and it varies greatly between brands, but I would say bread is about $2.69 a loaf or 5 pounds.

For the butter...a gram equals about .00220 pounds. So 200 grams of butter is about .44 pounds of butter here. That is almost half a pound, almost two sticks of butter. Butter here is rarely sold in less than 1 pound boxes. But a box of butter is expensive. The cheapest generic pound of butter is $2 or 4 pounds but the more expensive brands are upwards of $4 a box/pound or 8 pounds. So half of those prices would be more like the 200 gram price.

Does this make sense? Sorry if it doesn't.

It depends on where you live in the US.

a loaf of bread can cost anywhere between 49 cents and $1.29
