recently i asked this woman i met if she wanted to get together this weekend. Prior to me asking her out we talk when i saw her at my job (i work at a gym) We flirted some, but i saw our interactions as being mostly platonic.
As soon as i asked her out her tone changed altogether. She is really treating this like a date and i just wanted to hang out really.
I try not to get involved with woman that come into the gym, but it's very hard.
What should i do?

Just be honest. Don't mislead her. Go somewhere platonic together when you go out. Make sure its pretty clear its not a date. ie.. going to a nice restuarant, just the two of you.. would be misleading..... So pick somewhere a little more social, and bring other people.

Well, depends on how you went about asking her out. You said you suggested you and her get together this weekend? Does this mean the whole weekend? It is good you made a rule not to date any clients that work out at the gym where you work. But unless there is a company policy against this then I do not see nothing wrong with you and her going out. Her attitude changed because you brought the friendship into the next level by asking her out. Go out with her, keep it friendly. If you give her the wrong message by making it more, then you will have yourself to blame. Good luck to you!

Be up front with her from the start. What is the difference in your mind of a date vs. just hanging out? To me it is the same thing. Its only a friendship your not asking her to get married. Just relax and go with the flow. who knows, it may be the best thing that ever happened to. Take it as one day at a time.

You need to just let her know that she cannot go around thinking that it's a date because you can't get involved with people that come to your gym. Just tell her like it is. Tell her that you just wanted someone to hang out with and that it is nothing more than that.
