Hi my boyfriend is wondering about getting his facial hair removed as he hates shaving every day, He is dark skinned (will smith complexion) and has tough dark facial hairs and they grow very fast, can some please tell me anything you know about this topic, Which is a better solution IPL or Laser?

I have had both and I prefer the laser. HOWEVER -
Laser won't remove the really dark hair, but it might thin it, or take the color out of it. However, lasers can also cause keloid scarring on dark skin, and it may hurt a little more because it works by having the color of the hair absorb the heat. His dark skin will burn a little.
If he does want to consider a laser, have him go to a dermatologist for it so that he has it done safely. The doctor can also give him a prescription for a cream called "Vaniqa" which will slow down hair growth.
Lasers are being improved everyday and, while one might not work for him now, I would bet they will work for him in the future.

Laser hair removal generally works best on fair skinned people with dark hair as the laser has to be able to distinguish to between the hair and the skin. The link below has more details about this.
If he has problem skin and finds shaving a pain then he should consider using a product like Ultra Shave shaving cream. It contains grape seed extract which is 15000 times stronger than vitamin E. Its a great skin healer and a lot of people use it as a moisturiser after shaving.
A lot of dark skinned people also suffer from ingrown hairs and razor bumps. These can be effectively treated with Priva Shave, Tend Skin and many others.
