How much time would you do if you got with brass knuckles??

In California, believe it or not, it is a felony. Punishinble by a year or more in prison. Stupid, I know. Carrying a loaded concealed handgun in California is a misdemeanor. (As long as you are not a felon) Go figure.....

Where I worked as a police officer, brass knuckles were listed under Criminal Use of Weapons. A misdemeanor punishable by no more tnan 1 year in jail.
That is as long as you didn't use them on someone, this is for mere possession.
Why not get something like a taser that is not considered a gun and legal to possess. I would much rather go into court and say "yes, your honor I had a legal self-defense tool that the police routinely use to defend themselves" versus "yes your honor I had a set of brass knuckles which I know have a decades old reputation for being used to maim and hurt people by criminals and thugs."

None, if your lawyer is good enough to convince the courts that you were in possession of a brass paperweight.
