we need to know more.

Is this a group of adults, a group of children travelling with 2 or 3 adults in a school trip, or two or three families travelliing together?

I think that in all these cases, you would find something suitable by searching under the 'groups' option on hostelworld.com (see link below)

I did this for you, and it came up with a hotel called the 'Crown Pattaya Beach Hotel' with rooms sleeping 2 persons, ensuite, for £15 GBP a night each or less... (see link below)

It should be possible to change one of the rooms to 4 persons, or 2 of the rooms to three persons if they only have 5 available...

If you can only book 5 rooms, online, then book it, and when you get the contact detyails from Hostelworld you can 'phone them up or email the hostel and ask for another room... perhaps with discount.

If you don't need a hotel like this, then I'd suggest a youth hostel or a campsite perhaps?

I also gave you the link below for the Thailand Hostelling International web page.

Their contact details are:
Thai Youth Hostels Association
25/14 Phitsanulok Road
Si Sao Thewet
Dusit

Tel.: (66) (2) 6287413 / 2802111
Fax.: (66) (2) 6287416
E-mail:

I hope that helps ...

also see www.a2zpattaya.com ,you will find what you are looking for there
if you want a hotel check its location before you book as it could be out of town
i have stayed in the sunbeam 3 times ,its very cheep and great location , but its budget style you get hat you pay for ,the deluxe rooms are fine
i have also stayed in the hard rock, it,s expensive but basic for the price

Best tip...

Book 2 nights... Spend the day looking for a much cheaper hotel around the corner what does not advertise...

Seriously you wont have any problem.

Ie In a travel agent you will probably pay twice as much

Also how close do you want it to the massive sex bar area? and if they are cool with female guests

Do as the locals do!Nip down to B&Q and buy a shed.Divide it amongst your fellow travellers and take it as hand luggage. On arrival erect the shed and hey presto. On departure sell the shed to the locals and you will make a little money back! lol
