NOT LONG it will take a very short peiod of time considering thee will be no fat consumed during this process ....

ino you want to ave the honest truth and no the healthy way n im not here to tell you that its just that its very sad but its no answer to starve yourself dry your tears and exersise and eat healthy the body needs sugar if you dont have sugar you feel light headed and very sick !
also it needs calcium potein and iron everything if you poceed wit this then you will be unhappy with you body in the end anyway because losing wieght to fast will lead to very saggy overstretched skin ever seen extreme make over or the swan youll end up like that no doubt i no it seems hard but just listen to yourself why hurt you more then you already are ?

First, your age has nothing whatsoever to do with your weight. Your ideal weight depends, basically, on your height, but your build should also be a part of this calculation.

The basic calculation is 5' / 100'b, then add 5 lb/inch for a woman and 6 lb/inch for a man. So, while you might be a bit overweight, it's not by that much. As well, to get down to 9 1/2 stones, you would be as underweight as you are now overweight. So, your first step is to get some help (your school nurse, for example) in figuring out what your healthiest weight would be.

Having given you that background, I must tell you that your so-called weight loss plan is extremely dangerous, no matter how little or how much you want to lose. You body needs to get a minimum amount of calories, from a full range of foods, in order to not do yourself any damage. Further, if you do not get sufficient calories, your body will automatically go into what's called "starvation mode", which means that every calorie that you injest will be stored, because your metabolism thinks that ther will never be any more. So, starvation mode is a natural self-preservation mode.

Like it or not, you are treading in very, very dangerous territory with your plan. You want an honest answer, so the only possible honest answer here is that you do need to do this properly, and means "the healthy way". After all, it's called just that for a very, very good reason. - it's not going to allow you to do yourself permanent damage.

That's your honest answer.

I am answering your question because I am really concerned about you.

At 16 you are still growing, the starvation diet you have chosen is likely to effect your developement. If you are female you could stop menstruating and effect you chances of having a child.

Your body thinks there is a famine. It is trying to save you by slowing down your metabolism. That is why you have no energy, aching limbs etc. Your rate of weight loss will slow & slow. Of course when you start eating "normally" again your slow metabolism will mean you put on weight twice as quickly.

You are not on a diet you are starving yourself. Celery is almost all water. You need 1000 calories a day and a variety of food to keep your body healthy. You would still lose weight but healthly. Did you know that deficiencies of certain vitamins can cause blindness -and you tell us your eyes are sore! Please see a doctor or a dietician soon.

I joined weightwatchers and went from 18st 10lbs to 14st 7lbs it took me about 2years, but I did it healthly. Consider joining a slimming club and learn how to eat a healthy balanced diet.

At 5'10" you would be in the normal weight range if your weight was between 9st 7lbs & 12st 7lbs. Your self imposed target (if you dont end up in hospital first) of 9st will leave you significantly underweight. You might think you will be pale, slender and willowy like a supermodel. In fact you will be palid, floppy and slightly green like a stick of celery.

You need to look at your total relationship with food and eating. How does it relate to your ambitions and the rest of your life?

you want an honest answer?? fine
honestly, eating nothing but celery and water will cause your body to go into "starvation mode" and it will conserve the fat you do have because it does not understand why it is being starved and tries to preserve itself. You will not lose the weight as quickly as if you cut down on calories sensibly and exercised more.
Since you said you already know that what you are contemplating is not the Healthy Way, I am not going to preach to you but what you are considering is dangerous. Nutrient deprivation is not smart since your body needs this stuff for nice skin, hair, teeth etc... so even if you get down to 9 and a half stone and your hair is falling out in patches and you are losing teeth and your skin looks like a 90 year old.. well... i guess you have to ask yourself if it is better to be skinny and gross or curvy and fabulous!!

You have to come up with some type of a reward system, this will help keep you motivated. One of the best things to do is make a contingency contract. Stating what you want to do, who will help you do it, and what do you get for doing it. Then also try to find a well balance diet program. My friend did this one diet program where the average weight lose is 7 pounds in 9 days. It might be the thing you are looking for, I know it's well balanced. If you want e-mail me and I can tell you more about either of these.

Hi, you won't lose weight as fast as you think. In the first weeks you will lose alot but then your body will go into 'starvation mode' and store anything you eat and turn it into fat. Because of the starvation effect your body will start using up muscle mass for energy leaving you with flabby fatty skin folds with no muscle definition whatsoever. Your body will literally start wasting away. You will have no energy, probably become even more depressed than you are now and risk irrepareable damage for the rest of your life. You may also die.

Is that what you really want?

According to http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ you have a BMR of 1880 calories. This is the amount of calories you burn watching paint dry. Celery has about 6 calories per stalk, and you burn more than that digesting it. Water has no calories. You need to burn 3500 calories more than you consume to lose one pound.

So, if you just sit and stare at a wall all day, while eating celery and drinking water, you'll lose one pound every 2 days. So that's 112 days to lose your 56 pounds. If you do more activity than staring at the wall, it will be faster.

But you said you wanted an honest answer ... Honestly, you shouldn't even think about attempting this.

First of all that is a horrible thing to do to your body.Your body needs more nutrients than celery can provide. When you stop your celery diet you will gain the weight and then some right back.Try eating salads made with dark green lettuces, throw some almonds on it (they're great for your heart).Fish is also very good and low in fat (if you eat meat),Egg white omlettes with vegetables.Snack on your celery in between meals, don't make it a meal.

Celery and water won't work but wait I'll tell you what I did that worked fast for me. Please know that this isn't a diet you can stay on for a long time because it really is a drastic cut in calories.
Breakfast- A bowl of healthy cereal. I liked special K w/berries
Snack- A piece of fruit of a vegetable
Lunch- A premade microwave meal like Healthy Chioce or Lean Cuisine
Snack- Another fruit of veggie (whichever you chose for AM snack, have the other for this snack)
Dinner- A Slimfast shake
Make sure to take a mulitvitamin EVERYDAY and a calcium supplement.
I lost 15 lbs in three weeks on this diet, and could have kept it up for another couple of weeks if I had needed to.

im exacly the same. im 19(female btw) and am over 14 stone and have just had two kids.

Im finding it really hard to loose weight. but you wouldnt live for long if you put yourself on that sort of diet.

cant you go gym? get someone to go with you after work, college etc.

or buy yourself a step from argos and use that at home thinking of other ways to step up and down on it. do this listening to your fave music as this will get you in the mood.

as for eating. if you email me i can give you a few recipes that you could try. they are all healthy and are pastas and rices. ive tried two of them and they are delisious.

email me at hannah_clarke32@hotmail.co.uk
