There are a number of reasons why someone might here music in that no-one else hears. This is called an auditory hallicination.

The reasons you might hear something no-one else does are:

Drugs - including some prescription drugs
Stress
Sleep Deprivation or Exhaustion
Mediatation and / or Sensory Deprivation
Electrical and / or Neurochemical activity in the brain
Mental Illness
Brain damage or disease

Whatever the cause might be, it is important to see the doctor to have them determine the cause and the diagnosis.

Could she be having ringing in her ears? It's called tinnitus. She should go to a doctor, though because that sounds really bizarre. Maybe you could make an appointment for her and take her if she's resistant. Good luck!!

It sounds like she sustained a head injury. This really needs to be looked at by a qualified physician. Perhaps one who specializes in Acquired Brain Injury.
Good luck to both of you.

you could have really sentive hearing for one, or you could just have music playing in your head, now if it gets so it interfers with you daily living and life , then you really need to go and see a therapist, other wise i would not worry about it.
