Sure! Why not? I sure would have liked it back in high school. I was too shy to ask anyone out, and made the assumption that since I was more or less a social outcast no girl would ever want to be seen with me anywhere. Found out later that a few of the girls were not that shallow and actually liked me. Too late then!
IF you ask, the worst thing that could happen, other than causing the earth to fall into the sun, is that someone could say "no".

I don't think it's a matter of being proper; you just don't want to seem too desperate. In the past, the only thing I would do is speak, smile, maybe ask if they have a gf. I open myself up for them to move in and ask me out, now if he doesn't take the bait then move on.

I heard something on this once that made a lot of sense to me. It said in essence that the relationship will be however the dating is. So if you want the kind of relationship where the guy always takes the lead and sort of is in charge, let him ask. If you want a more equal relationship, the girl should be willing to ask.

Proper - who cares - but they like to think they are in control. So it's usually better to ask them on a group outing, or to an event you are going to and leave it to them to ask for the first "date"

even if I wasnt attracted to you, I would still thank you for asking me but tell you that i would not be interested...
but you never know if you dont ask.....
ask alot and your chances get better!!!
its like baseball, not everytime do they hit the ball, but they go up there and try....
in fact if you think about it, a great baseball player might .400 which means he hits the ball 40% of the time he is up there...
40 %(less than 50%) and we consider them great players..
so yes...ask him out..

I really think guys should ask girls out but if it gets to the point that you really like this guy you should ask him out because probably he likes you too.

to be honest i think that they should ask us guys out more bc sometimes we dont know if they like us or not and so if we ask them out they could shoot us down and with girls u dont always know but if a guy likes u u definetly know so its actually easier for yall
