Should I buy MS Office 2007 Home Edition? It's really cool, and it would replace my free open-source word processor and spreadsheet, but it's $140 at amazon.com. Coolness vs Cost. What's your opinion?

I have home edtion windows xp sp2 ..I wonder if I should also,,this edition of windows does not have Word Pro or any kind of word processor on it,except for Word Pad and Note Pad.I don't want to screw up my computer by putting another edition on it.Can a computer have two edtiions I wonder.

Not Worth it; I am sticking with Office 2003. I plan to buy Office 2007 for my Home test Box, and I will be using Office 2007 for my Office Test Box here at work, but I do NOT recommend this Office 2007 because it is so terrible for general users, and is a Nightmare for compatibility with MANY other apps

Because of the inevitable bugs in newer software, as well as compatibility issues with others who may not yet have office 2007, it would be wiser to wait another 6 months to a year before getting it. That way those issues will hopefully clear up, and you will know better overall if it is a successful product.

go for it without any second thought,its really worth buying,dont worry about others wether they have office 2007 or not and dont worry wether others will have compatibility issues when u r saving the file use save as option and select 97 to 2003 compatibility mode,great looks and better applications worth buying.

I think it's worth it.
It is a quantum leap forward.
Of course I am kind of a "toy" person.
$140 is pretty good.
