Yes, human beings are generally quite good at receiving messages at frequencies between about 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz, and especially between about 30 Hz and 3500 Hz.
We also pick up messages at much higher frequencies in the visual spectrum.
Er, "6th sense" people might be interested to know that scientists have already identified seven senses in the human being (the two you don't know about are vestibular and proprioceptive). The psychic fantasies are once again lagging behind reality.

There *seems* to be occasions where some people can do that. There has been a large amount of research done into the "psionic" ablilities and while the jury is still out, it doesn't look good.
If such abilities exist or can be cultivated, it is highly unlikely that the "folklore" you read from spiritualist will help or even have a bearing on these abilities.

As far as a 6th sense goes, I’m an atheist, but think that there could be something to it. Animals do tend to “find a way”. It would not be supernatural in anyway and could be explained by science. In fact much of it already is. Take bats for example. They have a 6th sense of sonar (sonar may not be what you had in mind, but...).

yes. everything is a living example of energy, and at some level everything resonates a frequency, whether our current instruments can detect them or not. it gets a little hairy when the paranormal gets involved though. our perceptive abilities go only as far as our upper and lower limits.

You can receive a lot of frequencies if you have a good radio. MINDS EYE messages are in the imagination.

Animals evolved to fill their niches, our niche is where visible light (tautology) and audible sound (ditto) happens to be. Thats not to say there are not many many frequencies out there from x-rays to radio waves which we cannot sense directly.

Nobody can perceive anything their body is not physically capable of perceiving.
We perceive light at certain frequencies because our body can perceive them. Others pass through us unnoticed others destroy cells. Our perception is extremely limited. Spirits and stuff cannot be perceived.

my dogs can read minds and it freaks me out,they keep telling me to buy them sausages.
I'd be more concerned with things that can cause bruises.
I only heard recently that Padro Pio in confession was very good at reading peoples hearts and could tell if you were keeping sins hidden.
