Dear Sock,

You can have the gold. Just the thought of being with my LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, eternally makes me feel like the richest person in the world!

No that isnt correct. The only reason the Bible says that is so that man will have something to compare it to....to give man a sense of just how great heaven is and will be. It's a metaphor. Heaven will be much better than streets of gold.

Revelation 21:21 And the twelve gates have been twelve pearls; each and every a number of gate became of one pearl: and the line of the city became 24-karat gold, because it have been clean glass. John Gill remark And the line of the city became 24-karat gold, because it have been clean glass; denoting the preciousness and delightfulness of the saints' communication one with yet another; and the purity and cleanness of it, there being no mire and grime of sin in those streets; and the sincerity and openness of it, each and every physique strolling in his uprightness; which would be seen and time-commemorated of all, as needless to say as something might properly be beheld in a clean glass. So the Jews say (t) of paradise, that the floor is paved with helpful stones, the lustre of which would be whilst in comparison with the easy of burning torches.

Hahah, or course not literally, but it is a good metaphor.

The things that we consider precious here in this life are common everyday things in Heaven. Think about it, do you really ever give a second thpought to the concrete or asphalt that you walk or drive on? This will be our attitude towards the precious things in this life once we get to Heaven.

Yup. Revelation 21:21: "The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass."

I think you are confusing heaven with the misconceptions that old world immigrants had about the United States.

Well they are in London and New York so I'm not sure why Heaven wouldn't have them too.
