How high is that helicopter on that video, because I don't understand how those Iraqis couldn't see the helicopter, since they don't fly that high.

Do helicopters fly higher, then I thought?

Thanks.

I am a crew chief on a CH-53 Sea Stallion in the Marine Corps.. Our helos can fly up to 10,000 even 12,000 feet. Contarary to popular belief you cant really hear a helocopter until its almost on top of you. Something about how the sound waves are projected. So yes Helos do fly higher than you thought and there is a very good chance the Iraqis did't see the helo.

Son, i became interior the militia interior the U.ok. and If i became you i could think of very intently into which branch of the forces you enter. you ought to start up by ability of understanding your skills in technological information and math's, as those skills are what they are searching for, as you do no longer opt to pass in as "Cannon Fodder" do you? so which you elect some sort of commerce or capacity which will save you faraway from the front line on patrol on a daily basis. i could advise the Air Corp or Air rigidity, their technique of coaching is first-type and there might properly be some very exciting occupations to be got here upon around airplane. solid success and function a large day.

When a helicopter flies high, they leave them self open to a missile lock. Thats why they fly low.
