I want to lose 20-25 lbs and keep it off. I eat 3 small meals and 2 healthy snacks in between, while watching my calorie intake (making sure it is above 1200 but below approx 1400.) I've been walk/jog 2-3 miles 3 times a week for the past 2 1/2 weeks. I notice my clothes are fitting looser but I haven't lost any lbs. I will be starting a weight lifting program with help of a personal trainer in a week. I weigh 150lbs and wear a size 6 in pants. I'm a bit top heavy (I have boobs) so I’m a size 16 dress. My problem area is my stomach (not the usual hips and butt like normal women). I am trying to lose b/w 1-2lbs a week but haven't seen this happen...I know I should be patient, but when will I see loss of weight results? What more can I do?

I think you are doing all the right things, but I'm surprised the scale hasn't moved AT ALL. Usually, you notice about a 3-5 pound water weight loss in the first two weeks, then 1-2 pounds per week after that. If you need to lose 20 pounds, it will probably take you AT LEAST 2 months, but you should start seeing noticeable results after a month. If after a month, nothing is happening, tell your personal trainer. That's their job...they'll help you :)
