Well I am a shop owner and can help you out. 1st you need to find an area that needs one. If there is already 1 or more shops within say 20 miles you are most likely not going to be successful. Start small, most people shop onlne and will only buy what they need right away at your store. That is decks and shoes mabey a sweatshirt or t shirt once in a while so those are the main
focus. Find a small shop of approx 400- 500 sq ft. And then you can put your order in with a skateboard distributer like southshore (www.skatenet.com) They sell hundreds of brands all from one location. very convenient. Go with the local trends, popular brands and styles. take a survey at the local skate spots.
