Your cat wants your attention. Rather than punishing the cat and giving it a negative response, you might try being proactive in your approach. That might mean buying some interactive cat toys so that you can play with your cat regularly. Cats love it when their people play with them. A laser toy is really fun for them... toy mice... doorknob or door frame toys are good too.

My youngest cat does this when she's ready to play. Give her some attention, crumple up some paper for her, get out the laser-pointer, etc.
You should feel honored that it is you she wants to spend time with. Cats don't bite just anyone. ;-)

a. take a squirt bottle and chase the cat out
b. put on fuzzy shoes and play with the cat
c. move
d. nothing
