I am losing weight at average of 1.5 kilos a week. I want to know if I will reach my natural weight and is this called a diet plateau for my height?

A diet plateau occurs when your total calories in matches your total calories out, so you stop loosing or gaining weight. So it could be viewed as your natural weight for your metabolic rate, level of exercise and fitness. However, it is not likely to be your goal weight. If you do hit a plateau, the best way to combat it is to increase your exercise, or change the kind of exercise you do, so that you shift your metabolic rate. I have found that when my weight has plateaued when either loosin gor gaining weight, it can help to purposely do the oppsoite for a couple of weeks (if loosing weight, purposely gain a bit of weight through increased dietry calories and exercise) - this can kick start your weight loss when you restrict your calories and change the exercise, especially if the weight you gain is almost exclusively muscle (which should happen if your diet is sensible and you do enough exercise).

Basically, if you are loosing weight, it is healthier, safer and easier if you combine exercise with a calorie restricted diet.

A diet plateau is when you come to a halt in your weight loss for no obvious reason. Some people say its the body's way of coming to terms with the loss. I personally think its more likely that you reach a stage where you become complacent about the loss and stop watching your diet so well, portion sizes may creep up and exercise may lessen. All will accumulate to mean that weight loss stops. Usually a shake up of what you are doing diet and exercise wise will get things moving again;
I have lost 70+ in the last almost 7 months and hit a plateau just before Xmas, I did the shake up and have starting losing again;

No, a plateau when dieting usually refers to a weight that you reach and that no matter how hard you try, for a few weeks you just can't lose any more. It's not necessarily your goal weight or even your natural weight (if there's any such thing).
Most of us have hit a plateau now and then - it's irritating, but you just have to keep on with the healthy eating and after a little while another pound will come off and you'll be back on track.
Good luck.

No, a diet plateau is generally when you keep to your diet but stop losing weight at a fast rate, and you HAVENT reached your ideal target.

It occurs usually when people have a lot of weight to lose and approach their target. Those last pounds are the hardest to get rid off and it sometimes needs a review of the diet to overcome the stalling point.

Well done, you will reach your natural weight eventually, you may have to overcome one or more 'plateus' to do so, So KEEP going!

A diet plateau just means that your body has accepted your new fitness level and eating habits. While it may not be your ideal weight, it is an indication that you're doing everything right. Your natural weight depends upon how much fat percentage you want to have on your body. Muscle is more dense than fat, which means a good percentage of lean muscle mass together with a low body fat percentage is the ideal toward which you should strive. Good luck!

It means where you get down to a certain weight and, despite your diet, you stay at the same weight. It is very frustrating but if you persevere with the diet which helped you to lose the weight in the first place you should start to lose weight again. Also, if you can up the exercise this often helps to get you going again.
Good luck.

Each pound is 3500 calories of stored energy. From your bodily description, I can only assume you are a female. Therefore, when not menstruating, you have a daily requirement of ~2000 calories. Assuming that these numbers don't change, you would lose a pound approximately every 2 1/2 days. However, your metabolism will slow when you begin this diet. Your maintained metabolism during starvation will depend on your activity level, of course. Why on God's green earth would you be trying to lose weight? No one who is worth the time would want you as some pale emaciated waif!

It's pretty much were you stop losing any more weight - as in you've been that weight for a while - you have plateaued.

To add to what the others have said, if you want to get off that plateau, try changing up your exercise routine. Your body will adapt to your routine and stop responding as well. Change the exercises you're doing, the duration, the intensity, something to get your body out of the rut it's in.
