if you are 18 and havent gotten your permit yet or a licence... do you automaticall go and get your licence.. or do you still need to have 6 months of driving with your permit?

If you are around 18, there are a few things to consider. First of all, even if you passed the test in school and got your blue card (score card) from school, it is usually not valid any more, so you will likely have to take the test in the dmv again. Second, once you pass the vision and written test at the dmv, from that day you will have to wait 6 months for your road test, but you are not required to take any lessons with a driving school (they will schedule the road test when you pass). You have to get a permit and pass the written test. Once you pass the written test, they will schedule you for a driving test.
