No, not suicidal. However, it does get depressing to think that so many people are mired in religious superstition. You'd think we would have advanced past that already.

No, but sometimes it makes me want to cry.

Like last night. Flipping through the channels, I stopped on a segment showing a couple who reread the bible and decided that it was telling them to tithe more than 10%. So they started giving everything they could.

Because it was a religious channel, the story wasn't about them getting rooked or having mental issues. I guess it was a nudge from Pat Robertson for others to do the same.

The woman stated that people believe they should give only what they can. She said they have that backwards. You should give more than you can, and the lord will provide.

Honest to god (no pun intended). She thinks that if you give the church a ton of money, god will make sure you get more to cover your losses.

Jesus wept. Pun intended.

How could a pun be derived from that? Do you know what a pun is? Religion doesnt make me suicidal, but stupid people make me homicidal.

There is no pun in your question. And no, the thought of religion doesn't make me suicidal.

Not suicidal but it is very bleak and depressing that for many people meaningless theological dogma is the most important thing in their life.

I consider that nothing can make us the people ... think of suicide except satan , the fallen angel , who wanted a glory like God , ( Christian religion.)We must become Christians and true Christians and be happy and thank God for our life , for everything ,and be sure that God can give us everything we want , if we ask for a good thing. There are people who want to die , because they cannot suffer anymore. These are adults , or old people . But they remember God . It is a little bit more difficult to be an adult then beeing a child with parents, but remember that you always are a child for God , and that God is your Father .We must tell Him ,: you are My Father ...help me ...give me joy and happiness .We must have hope , in Christianity , because hope means that you trust God .If we don't trust God , it means we don't believe Him ...He said that He is right and that He is the only one Who is good....In my country , many Christians are greeting :God help us !So we must believe what Jesus said , what God The Father said (talking and showing up to Isaiah , Iezechiah, Daniel , etc ..)

Could be the Holy Spirit calling you to say good bye to your old self and put on Christ? ...no this does not mean to commit suicide, btw, but repent and believe on Jesus.
